Trade-in program FAQ

    • What items can a reseller trade in?

      Any type of point-of-sale and barcoding equipment. This can include, but is not limited to, consumer devices, scanners, printers, mobile computers, etc.

    • What is the inspection process?

      Hardware is inspected by a certified industry specialist who determines value based on a compilation of current market demand and value, cosmetics, and functional testing. After inspection, ScanSource POSB will provide you with a quote for the value we will credit to your account, for the equipment once the trade-in process is completed.

    • How long is a quote valid for?

      Due to the volatility of market trends, the quote you receive is valid for 30 days. If you wish to trade in your items after the 30 day period expires, just re-submit to get a new quote.

    • How do I accept the trade-in quote?

      Email your acceptance to honeywelltradein@scansource.com and then shipping details will be provided. Reseller is responsible for shipping costs and you MUST provide tracking information for all item shipments.

    • How quickly can a reseller expect credit back, after items are traded in?

      Once your items have been received and inspected for approval, you can expect a credit back on your ScanSource account within 30 business days. Any discrepancies between the trade-in form submitted and actual products received will be handled on a case-by-case basis. If, for any reason, the credit takes longer than 30 days, you will be notified in advance.

Trade-In Process: What you can expect.

1. Reseller submits trade-in request via trade-in request form
2. ScanSource receives request and provides quote within 72 hours
3. Reseller has 30 days to accept trade-in quote (or request re-quote after 30 days)
4. Once quote is accepted, reseller ships hardware
5. Hardware is received, inspected, and processed
6. Credit is issued to reseller on the ScanSource account within 30 days
